SR. DZEMNDZE Mary ASSUMPTA

I am a member of the Congregation of the Tertiary Sisters of St. Francis-Cameroon. Born on the 6th of July in Kitiwum-Kumbo in Cameroon, I am the last child of the family of six, four boys and two girls of Papa Thomas Tume and Mama Theresia Winkar all of blessed memory. The four boys too are of late.

EDUCATION

I did my primary education in Sacred Heart Catholic School Kitiwum for seven years, completing in 1988. I went to Girls Vocational School (G.V.S) Shisong from 1988 to 1992 and completed with a CAP Certificate. Later on, I joined the Tertiary Sisters of St. Francis on the 15th of September 1992. I did Aspirancy in Shisong Convent for some months and Postulancy in Njinikom Convent for a year. I entered the Novitiate on the 3rd of April 1994 to the 6th of April 1996. I did Juniorate for five years in two communities: St. Augustine’s College (SAC) Community Nso and Shisong Community. I obtained the G.C.E Ordinary Level Certificate in 1998 while working in St. Francis Animal Farm Shisong as manager and bursar. I was finally professed on the 15th of December 2001.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCES

After my finally profession, I have worked in the following places: • St. Francis Convent Njinikom for a year as Assistant manager of St. Joseph’s Animal Farm Njinikom that is from 2003 – 2004. • La Verna Spiritual Centre Bamenda as Cook and Bursar of the centre for four years. • Pastoral Centre Bamenda from August 2008 to August 2013 as Superior and Cook of the Centre. • St. Martin de Porres Health Centre Wum, as Bursar of the Health Centre for some months. • In June 2014, I went to St. Anselm’s Centre (AOSK Chemchemi Ya Uzima) Nairobi Kenya and obtained a certificate of • St. Padre Pio Hospital Douala for a year as manager and bursar of the Hospital canteen. • La Verna Spiritual Centre Bamenda 2015 as Superior and Cook of the centre. • St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Hospital Shisong as manager and bursar of the hospital canteen for two years. • In 2018, I went to Central African Republic, in Berberati for relief-duty as a cook. • In 2019, I was sent to Njavnyuy to rest. • St. Clare’s Convent Mankon for three months from September 2019 to November 2019. • Federal Republic of Nigeria, Taraba State, Catholic Diocese of Jalingo (Takum) for Refugees Mission from the 29th of December 2019 to December 2020. • St. Francis Convent Lafia, Nasarawa State Nigeria from January 2021 to August 2024 as manager and bursar of a Host Factory (making of altar bread). • Mjinikom Convent from the 15th August 2024 to August 2025 as manager of St. Joseph’s Animal Farm. • St. Clare’s Convent Mankon August 2025 till date as Assistant Bursar of STAMS Bambui.
